In November 2011, I wrote about Vee Popat‘s viral success marketing Nightmares Fear Factory in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
The Nightmares piece continues to be one of my most popular posts (currently holding the number two spot).
One of the people who read it was Scott Stratten.
Stratten is president of the Un-Marketing agency. He writes a blog of the same name, rules a formidable Twitter kingdom and is a popular speaker.
In 2010, he published The UnMarketing Book.
I first heard Stratten speak at PSEWEB 2011. He gave the keynote and I was impressed by his combination of insight, rant and humour.
The Nightmares article contained a pingback to his blog — specifically, it referenced his practice of replying to others on social media far more often than he posts his own content.
Thanks to that pingback, he saw the post.
One thing led to another, and I’m thrilled to announce that my post is being adapted as a chapter in his next book.
