I first met Julia Rosien at the TedxWaterlooWomen event back in December. She was our MC and did a great job hosting the day.

Since then, we’ve continued to chat through Twitter and Facebook. Julia is incredibly active on social media, runs a travel website and blog and works as a social media strategist. I’m probably forgetting half a dozen more roles she plays, too.

A while back, Julia invited me to share my personal and professional experiences using Twitter through a guest blog post on her website, SocialNorth. I’ve read many of Julia’s past guest blog posts from other social media professionals. I enjoy both the personal stories and the tips from others in the field. The range of work and uses people find for social media tools really are amazing.

The post has been up since the end of June and continues to receive considerable social shares through Julia’s network. Thanks, Julia, for inviting me to share in a fantastic experience.
